Vol. 01: Reflections, Rituals & Reminders to Step Off Autopilot and Back Into Presence

I wanted to do something a little different and create a fun weekly inbox ritual for you if you want to feel your life again outside of business, Moming, caretaking, etc.

Every Friday morning, you’ll get a short & soulful letter with reflections, rituals, and reminders to step off autopilot and back into presence—without losing momentum in your business.

💌 Sunday I went to the Reelies awards and met a lot of people I’ve talked to online for years from my industry, IRL. Being able to hug them and talk with them solidified the importance of getting out of the house for me, especially for business.

The solo date I took myself on was floor seats to the Issa Rae’s book tour which was at the Coca-Cola Roxy here in Atlanta this past Monday. Yes, I went out 2 nights in a row, 1 being a weeknight! I’m a huge fan of hers and want to collaborate with her (she’s been on my vision board for 2 years now).

I had gotten the tickets before even hearing about the book, but I’m obsessed so far. It’s called I Should Be Smarter by Now and because I got the audio book, I get to hear her read it.

There’s a part in the book where she said at 7 she wanted a briefcase, and guess who had a briefcase shaped lunchbox as a child?! Me! I always wanted to be a business woman (that’s what I called briefcase wielding women).

Lastly, while in Germany with my big brother, I came up with this idea for a mail club subscription after falling down a rabbit hole about them on TikTok.

I really want to create a world where women reclaim themselves in the midst of busy lives—saying yes to curiosity, delight, and wonder every day, not just on vacations or milestones. Where ordinary moments become magical, fulfilling, and worth remembering.

I already go out on solo dates away from my husband and kid, whether that’s just to go shop for plants, a solo trip, or to take private skating lessons, it’s been nice to see myself as someone other than a Mom, wife, or CEO.

I’ve been sharing my journey building the brand on TikTok 👀 There are some funny moments with my Mom “helping” me.

This Week’s Touch Grass Prompt

🍃 Take yourself on a 15-minute detour date

Walk a street you’ve never walked. Sit on a random bench. Wander into a shop just to browse. Zero errands allowed—curiosity only

I’m obsessed with this Happy African Beats Playlist on Spotify

🍽️ Foodie Find

I recently got into tinned fish because I hear it’s healthy. Hated sardines, but OBSESSED with the smoked trout from Trader Joes!

📔 Ritual To Try

I love planners, but never stick with using them. I AM great at journaling so I got cute art supplies to make it fun & romanticize it.

Banked & Balanced Moves

  1. To safely enjoy my summer without marketing hard, I went to in person events to network and grow my referral network which led to 2 speaking engagements, a 1:1 client, and growing my email list by 1,300 leads
  2. I experimented with paid advertising on a podcast (Systems Saved Me) and Meta ads recently for my volume offers (low ticket) + to grow my list. The new ads already led to a selling an In Flow & In Demand ticket, and people getting on my email list
  3. I actually pitched myself to speak on 7 podcasts and 3 of them have said yes (I have to follow up with the others, so it isn’t a no). I’m literally recording to be on Cubicle to CEO today at 1 😃

This is your permission to try different marketing strategies in different seasons, because summer Latesha ain’t sending no newsletter, recording no podcast episodes, launching, or posting content regularly!
